Snapdragon Flower

Antirrhinum, commonly known as dragon flowers or snapdragons, is a genus of plants within the Plantaginaceae family. The name "snapdragons" is derived from the flower's resemblance to a dragon's face that opens and closes when gently squeezed, while they are also referred to as toadflax or dog flower.

These plants are native to rocky regions in Europe, the United States, Canada, and North Africa.

When in bloom, snapdragons produce beautiful flowers. Interestingly, as the seed pods dry up, a peculiar phenomenon occurs - the dried flower heads appear like tiny human skulls. When manipulated, these skull-like structures mimic the movement of opening and closing a mouth.
